WTA, Inc. and its predecessors have been practicing engineering for over 60 years. Company provided design and construction phase services to all commercial, institutional, communication, health care, and education facilities throughout West Texas Region which later grew to encompass neighboring States of Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Louisiana. Today we work in more than twenty States across the nation. We have vast experiences in all type of projects with major emphasis in mission-critical facilities and all infrastructures that support day-to-day business for those facilities. Our most valuable resources are our professional staff. They have years of experiences. Our staff understand construction from start to finish and are here to help you navigate your projects in order to help you achieve your goals.

Today WTA is under the leadership of K. Craig Manawes, P.E., and Stephen Otis who has encompassed 80+ years combined experiences in this field, and all with this company. We are active working owners, providing keyed involvement and participate in every critical decision on all projects. We work closely with our staff on every projects thus ensure workable design that meets or exceeds clients’ goals. We work closely with our clients to understand issues/problems associated with each project, thus providing workable ideas and solutions to each project.

Our diverse services are ranging from project studies, planning, budget estimating, site analysis, construction standards, construction document, and construction phase services. Our specialties are space planning, critical HVAC system design, critical electrical system design, critical standby power system design, critical telecom DC power system design, critical fire protection design, critical building automation system, security system, and access control system. In addition, we provide extensive electrical power system study services to all industries. This includes, but not limited to, existing condition survey, fault current study, equipment failure study, protective devices coordination, and arc flash analysis. Furthermore, the power system study services can also include remediation design and construction services.

Our staffs of Engineers, Designers, and Construction Managers are highly trained both in and off the field. Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, hardware and software that enable us to best serve all our clients’ need. Our office is capable of hosting large gathering such as project planning, meeting, or educational seminar.

WTA approach all projects with a TEAM concept thus earning us excellent reputation with many clients. Our proven track record has produced several long-standing relationships with many clients. Some are more than 50 years. To serve all of our clients’ operation, we currently maintain licenses in over forty states and with some advanced notice, can acquire licenses in other states.

OUR COMPANY LEADERSHIP

K. Craig Manawes, P.E.

President

Craig has been with WTA for 38 years. He has served as Principal-in-charge, Project Manager, Design Engineer, and/or Construction Manager for wide variety of projects. Like his partner, Craig also has multi-discipline experience in the design of mechanical and electrical systems. Throughout Craig’s career, he has been involved in all types of designs, thus his broad knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems allows him to respond to the various design considerations/requirements encountered in today projects. He actively participates in project planning, project management, design supervision, quality control, and client communication. He has served on various Building Code Review Boards. Craig is a member of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Council of Engineering Examiners Society (NCEES), Association of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and Texas of Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE). He has worked on projects in many cities and states and currently maintains Professional Engineering licenses in 40 states. Craig graduated from Lamar University with a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
